Alix Collombon et Araceli Martinez started their tournament perfectly at Bordeaux Premier Padel P2 by imposing 6 / 2 6 / 3 against the Spanish qualifiers Martha Arellano et Jana Montes.

The match started badly for the Franco-Spanish pair, surprised from the start with a break conceded from the first game. But this alert has the merit of waking them up. Very quickly, Collombon and Martinez recover, break away in the process and gradually increase their speed. They recover the net, impose a higher pace and show themselves to be very solids on the fly. In 2/2, they trigger a series of four consecutive games to fold the first set 6/2, thanks to better hitting quality and good coordination.
Same scenario in the second round: break conceded from the start, then gradual rise. 3/2 for their opponents, Collombon and Martinez accelerate. Opposite, unforced errors are piling up, and Alix, incisor in viper, leads the charge. Result: a new series of four games in a row, and a second set won 6/3.

In the next round, a big challenge awaits them with the seeded 4, Sofia Araújo and Andrea Ustero. But in playing conditions that are favorable to them, in front of Bordeaux public, Alix Collombon, at home, will have every reason to believe in the feat.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
