First defeat together for  Benjamin Tison  et  Maxime Forcin , beaten in the second round of qualifying for the  Bordeaux P2  by the formidable Spanish pair  Arnau Ayats  /  José Rico  on the score of  6 / 2 6 / 3 .

The match started strongly for the 7th seed. Ayats and Rico put the pressure on from the start, targeting Forcin in the majority of rallies. Ayats stood out early, chaining together  winning smashes  and flawless sequences. Despite a break from the French to come back to 2/2, they immediately give up their service and fail to convert their opportunities. Ayats achieves a  perfect first set, without any unforced errors , while their opponents lack efficiency in key moments.

The scenario repeated itself in the second set: after another break at 2/2, Ayats and Rico controlled the pace and concluded the match 6/3. The difference was made by consistency:  20 winning points for only 5 unforced errors for Ayats , against too much irregularity on the French side.

Despite the defeat, it is necessary to underline the fine overall performance of  Tison and Forcin , who were playing their first international tournament together on the circuit Premier Padel. And what a pleasure to see again  Benjamin Tison , former French number 1, at such a high level of play after a break, well supported by a still combative Maxime Forcin.

Both players will have the opportunity to bounce back very quickly: we will see them together  to the FIP Silver Set Padel Narbonne  In 2 weeks.
