A first set to the advantage of the outsiders

From the start, Jofre/Arroyo surprised their opponents by imposing their pace. As usual, the Alex Arroyo's madness, especially offensively, made the difference. Combined with the Jofre's solidity at the back of the track, this gave an almost perfect set for the outsiders, who won 6/3. Galán/Chingotto in diesel mode

Led and aware of the threat, the second seed raised its level of play. More aggressive at the net, more rigorous in defense, they reversed the trend in the second set, winning 6/2.

Their dominance has become clearer, now dictating the game and reversing the dynamics from the start of the match. Once launched, Galan and Chingotto have left no opening. Permanent assaults to which Jofre/Arroyo can't do anything anymore. Victory 6/1 in this third and final set to validate a precious ticket to the round of 16.

A free warning

This match is a reminder that even the best pairs can be threatened if they don't start focused. But in the end, Galán/Chingotto, more regular and experienced, were able to turn things around and qualify with authority for the last 16. A warning to their next opponents, who will be the Deus brothers : The machine is launched... better not to slow it down.
