Shunned by the best players in the world, Betclic Bordeaux Premier Padel P2 has been at the heart of controversies. The reason ? Too much after the American tour. Therefore, the players decided to preserve themselves and take a little rest before theItaly Major, second tournament of the season of the highest category.

However, many questions were raised in connection with this absenteeism... did the players tell the whole truth?

Since the start of the week, we have seen some big names in the padel engage in exhibition tournaments. This was particularly the case for Juan lebron, Agustin Tapia and Paquito Navarro who traveled to Beirut, Lebanon. Obviously, this raises some questions.

So yes, many have also returned home, like for example Bea Gonzalez who was in the stands of the Malaga football stadium. Paula Josemaria, she was in Italy to play Interclubs which we know are lucrative. Others were in Dubai for these famous exhibition tournaments…

We know that players have much less to gain from a P2 than from a P1 or a Major. Only 500 points available and a prize money of 25.500€ for the winner among the men… and only 17.000€ among women, half as much as on a P1.

However, Bordeaux P2 is not the only one to experience a high rate of absenteeism. Indeed, for the moment, the Genoa P2 does not seem to be full of registered players and it could also be “zapped” by some of the best players in the world. The question now is, is it a wish to rest for the top players or a choice to no longer move to the weakest category of tournaments Premier Padel ?

Real questions have arisen around the P2. It remains to be seen whether the trend will continue for the rest of the season or not…

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
