A highly symbolic match

This part must have had a particular taste for Thomas Vanbauce and Dorian de Meyer, the two former long-term partners. It was ultimately the first city to gain the upper hand with Maxime Joris. Asphyxiated by the pressure, De Meyer and Gonzalez suffered the law imposed by their enemies. They failed to contain the attacks and ended up giving up the first set after 26 minutes of play.

Reversing the trend looked difficult as Vanbauce and Joris seemed in good shape. Sharper, more regular and less cautious than their opponents, the two men then continued in the second act, leading 5/1. Their understanding was a pleasure to see on the ground.
