The qualifications of the Brussels Premier Padel P2 The competition began this Monday, with several French pairs competing to secure a spot in the main draw. Unfortunately, the challenge proved too high against higher-ranked opponents.
Steffi Merah and Melissa Martin fall to the No. 4 seed
Partners for this Belgian tournament, Steffi Merah (227) and Melissa Martin (204) faced a formidable pair from the start: Noemi Aguilar Carrillo (57) and Julia Polo Bautista (52), seeded 4 in the qualifiers.
Unsurprisingly, the gap in the standings translated onto the pitch, with the Spanish side earning a clear 6-1, 6-1 victory. Merrah and Martin performed well, but were never able to truly trouble their opponents, who were very solid throughout the match.
Soubrié and Bahurel lose to Godallier and Bellver
In another meeting with 3 French women, Charlotte Soubrié (166) and Louise Bahurel (167) faced Léa Godallier (58), a well-known player on the circuit, and her Spanish partner Sandra Bellver (56), seeded 6 in these qualifications.
Godallier and Bellver won 6/3 6/4 after a tough match. Despite a strong showing from the French pair, the experience and skill of the favorites made the difference in key moments.
The rest of the program for Godallier and Bellver
Qualified for the second round of qualifying, Léa Godallier and Sandra Bellver will now have to face a tough opponent: the number 1 seed, Marina Lobo and Sofía Saiz, this Tuesday in the second rotation at 10 a.m. on court 2 of the Brussels P2.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
