Demonstration in the final of the  Brussels P2 .
Bea González and Paula Josemaría (TS2)  confirm their ascendancy over  Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea (TS1)  with a clear victory:  7 / 5 6 / 2 .

A third consecutive victory in the final against the world's number 1s... and a clear message sent to the circuit.

A blistering start from number 2

From the start,  González / Josemaría  They impose their own rhythm. More aggressive, more accurate, they gain the upper hand in all sectors.

Quick break to lead  4/2 , with even a double break opportunity at  5/2 .
Opposite,  Brea  appears physically diminished and  Triay  struggling, especially with the smash.

The reaction of the number 1s… then the turning point

Nevertheless,  Triay / Brea  clinging on.
Brea  He increases the intensity, lengthens the rallies, and draws his partner along with him. Result: break back, they win 3 games and return to  5/5 .

But in key moments,  González / Josemaría  make the difference.
They immediately break back and close out the set.  7/5 .

 A second one-sided set

The second round turned into a demonstration.
Jose Maria  dominates on the fly, targeting perfectly  Triay , While  González  is omnipresent in defense, capable of returning impossible shots.

Opposite,  Triay  gets annoyed, makes more mistakes, and  Brea Despite his efforts, he is physically feeling the effects.

Result:  6/2 , without dispute.

 Statistics that confirm the dominance

The numbers speak for themselves:

  •  11 break points obtained 5 converted
  •  46 winning points  against 34
  •  21 unforced errors  against 29

González / Josemaría  were superior in all aspects of the game.

 A confirmed ascendant

With this success, they followed up with a  third consecutive title  after  Miami  et  Newgiza , and confirm that they are currently the most in-form pair on the circuit.

For the first time, they beat  Triay / Brea  in the final  two sets evidence of a gap that seems to be widening.

The race for the throne is back on.

Still ranked number 2 in the world,  González / Josemaría  put enormous pressure on the place of  Volume 1 .

On their side,  Triay / Brea  appear to be lacking solutions, frustrated at having to submit to this pair.

The dynamic is clear.
It now remains to be seen whether this will be confirmed in the coming weeks.  P1 and Majors , where a large part of the season will take place.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
