The first  ladies semi-final  kept its promises. Opposed to  Fernández / Araújo (TS4) ,  Bea González  et  Paula Josemaría (TS2)  had to work hard to win in three sets:  3/6 6/3 6/0 .

Fernández sets his own pace from the outset

The start of the match went in favor of the 4th seed.
Claudia Fernández  dictates the tempo, slows down the game and clearly hinders  Jose Maria .

Opposite,  González / Josemaría  struggle to find their rhythm. A break is enough to  Fernández / Araújo  to secure the first set ( 6/3 ) and sow doubt in their opponents' minds.

 González changes the dynamic

The reaction was swift.
In  fast conditions ,  Bea González  takes up more space, imposes its  Smash  and brings more impact to the exchange.

Pair 2's game takes shape: more intensity, more offensive pressure. As a result, a controlled second set ( 6/3 ) which completely revives the match.

 A one-sided third set

Once the dynamic is reversed, the match turns.
González / Josemaría  unfold in the final round, also benefiting from a poor performance by their opponents.

Final score, without appeal:  6/0 .

A victory built on  mental , after a difficult start.

Fernández / Araújo stopped once again at the gates of the final

For  Fernández and Araújo The scenario repeats itself.
They often reach the semi-finals, but they've yet to be stopped by a pair ranked in the world's top two. They're still missing that final hurdle to reach their first final this season.

Fourth consecutive final for González / Josemaría

On their side,  González / Josemaría  continue with a  fourth consecutive final .
They will aim for a  third title in a row , proof of their excellent current momentum.

They now await their opponents, with one eye on the other semi-final.
A final victory would allow them to put real pressure on  the number 1 world ranking .

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
