A first set under control for Triay and Brea

Triay and Brea started the match perfectly. Solid in their service games, they didn't concede. no break point, they knew how to be pragmatic in converting their two opportunities break.
Despite a good first set from González and Fernández, the gap widened in the offensive phases: 17 winning points for Triay / Brea against 11 for their opponents. Result: a first round won 6/2 by the Spanish-Argentine pair.

Claudia Fernández, a little behind until then, produced a huge set, particularly on the volley, while Bea González is omnipresent in defense, throwing herself to the ground to save Triay's attacks.

Triay and Brea take their revenge and advance to the final

This victory allows Gemma Triay et Delfi Brea to take revenge for the defeat suffered in Riyadh against the same González / Fernández pair.
They thus qualify for their sixth final in a row and will find again Paula Josemaria et Ariana Sanchez for fifth clash this season, in a new classic of the women's circuit.

Despite the defeat, González et Fernandez may harbor regrets but also a lot of hope. Their very high level of play in this semi-final confirms that they are now capable of challenging the very best pairs in the world.
