The curtain has fallen on Buenos Aires Premier Padel P1, a tournament which will have seen Arturo Coello / Agustín Tapia et Ariana Sánchez / Paula Josemaría to win a new title, but also a week full of controversy... and disappointments for the public.

Despite a historic attendance record for the semi-final with 16.156 spectators, the Argentinian event suffered from a organization criticized, which has continued to fuel criticism.

Among the issues most noted by fans:

  • Insufficient number of toilets to accommodate so many spectators.
  • Disastrous management of entries, with endless queues, spectators freezing due to the southern winter, and repeated delays.
  • Excessive prices for food, drinks and even tickets.
  • A freezing temperature in the pavilion, where air leaked through the roof, forcing some players to play in sweatshirts.
  • Poor quality of television broadcasting, unstable signal, poor execution, delays…
  • Without speaking unpleasant odors in the enclosure of the stadium which have finished annoying the most patient.

Quarter-final match cancelled due to glass problem on Centre CourtDue to a lack of spare glass available, the organizers were forced to suspend the entire day to carry out repairs.
