Following the health crisis linked to COVID-19 and the resumption of competition at the end of June 2020, the French Tennis Federation has updated the methods of calculating the Ranking of Padel.

Updated in August 2020

The first recalculated classification will be that of August 2020.

The months of March, April, May and June therefore never existed in the calculation of the rankings. A logical situation and implemented by the FFT from last March. She had indeed communicated on this in order to reassure the players and clubs concerning the freezing of rankings.

Calculation from 12 to 16 months

Remember that the FFT accounts the 10 best results in tournaments padel over the past 12 months.

Concretely, the FFT will return up to 16 months back to calculate the rankings of the players, since they have been frozen 4 months.

In July, it will therefore be necessary to use the latest blocked rankings by the FFT last March. The FFT will communicate on the new rankings next August, a priori the first Monday of each month, thus taking up the results and tournaments carried out at the end of June and July.

This calculation system aims, if the health crisis does not resume, to disappear in July to resume then the normal calculation for the last 12 months.
