Camilia Benabdeljalil continues her progress. Moroccan champion in 2026 alongside Rita Atik and currently ranked 4th nationally, the Moroccan has just reached a new milestone in her career by earning her first points on the... FIP Tour , on the occasion of FIP BRONZE PORTIMÃO in Portugal.
Born on March 10, 1993, Camilia Benabdeljalil only discovered padel at the age of 29. A former tennis and beach tennis player, she quickly made up for lost time thanks to remarkable progress. Her meticulousness, which she also cultivates in her role as Purchasing Manager at APM Terminals, is evident on the courts, where she displays a discipline and determination that allow her to compete with the best Moroccan players.

Her recent Moroccan championship title confirms her ambitions: now, her goal is clearly to become the national number 1.
A convincing first victory on the FIP Tour
For his first appearance on the international circuit of the International Federation of PadelCamilia Benabdeljalil was associated with the Frenchwoman Laura Buteau , a regular at FIP tournaments.
Directly integrated into the main table of FIP BRONZE PORTIMÃO The Franco-Moroccan pair showed no signs of nerves in their opening match against the Portuguese-Dutch pair. Karin Marlies Lems / Diana Lemeshko Benabdeljalil and Bureau, who received a wild card, quickly imposed their rhythm to win in two controlled sets: 6 / 2 6 / 1 .
A clear victory which allows the Moroccan to secure her first points on the FIP Tour and to ideally launch her international career.
A huge challenge against the number 1 seed
The next round, however, promises to be a completely different challenge. The Franco-Moroccan pair will face the tournament's top favorites, the number 1 seeds. Clarinha Santos (Portugal) and Brittany Dubins (United States).
On paper, the Portuguese-American players are the favorites. Both are ranked around 100th in the world and have solid experience on the international circuit.
But Benabdeljalil and Buteau have nothing to lose. Buoyed by their impressive start, they will try to cause an upset in a match where they will naturally be considered underdogs.
One thing is certain: Camilia Benabdeljalil's international debut is promising, and the Moroccan player seems determined to continue her rise on the world circuit.
