A good week nonetheless for  Carla Toully  au  FIP Silver Teramo  in Italy.
Associated with the Spanish  Amanda Lopez Morale The Frenchwoman lost in the semi-finals against the number 2 seed.  Barbara Las Heras / Carla Mesa Salazar  on the score of  6 / 2 6 / 2 .

A defeat that was inevitably frustrating, because there was clearly an opportunity to achieve something against two players of a fairly similar ranking.

 A beautiful journey despite everything 

Before this semi-final, the French and Spanish players had had a very good tournament.

In the round of 16, they had cruised to a dominant victory.  6 / 0 6 / 2 .

Then they confirmed their form in the quarter-finals with a solid victory.  6 / 4 6 / 2  against the Italians  Martina Parmigiani / Giorgia Rosi .

 Positive things to remember 

Even though the semi-finals were ultimately too much of a challenge this time, this week remains encouraging for Carla Touly.

The level of play displayed throughout the tournament is impressive, and this semi-final appearance allows the French player to leave with...  25 FIP points valuable for the rest of the season and the standings.

This will help to continue building confidence before the next international circuit events.
