Carolina Navarro, an icon of women's padel, has announced that she will end her professional career in 2025. Although known as a Spanish player, Navarro has represented Sweden in recent years, continuing her international career under these new colours. Today, at 48 years old, she is still ranked 59th in the world.

Originally from Malaga, Carolina Navarro has been through all the eras of padel. Former world number one for nine consecutive years, she holds the most impressive list of achievements in the history of women's padel, with 100 international titles to his credit. His journey began at the time of the Beefeater Circuit and ends today within the prestigious circuit Premier Padel.

On Instagram, she shared her farewell message:

“I have something important to announce: 2025 will be my last year as a professional player. It all started in Malaga, where I played local tournaments with my sisters. Today, I am proud to say that I have been lucky enough to spend 31 years of my life competing and fully enjoying this sport that has given me so much.

I have had the privilege of experiencing the evolution of padel, from wooden rackets and solid wall courts to iconic stadiums like Roland Garros. Thanks to padel, I have accomplished unimaginable things: world championships and the creation of my adapted padel school, Shovels for Everyone.

In 2025, I will enjoy every tournament and fight in every match as if it were my last, as I always have. I will leave with peace of mind, knowing that I gave my all and savored every moment on the field. I don't see this as an end, but as a new beginning.

That said, an exciting year awaits us. More than ever, I want you to be by my side, to feel your support every day to live this adventure together. From now on, I am fully dedicated to being at my best to say goodbye in the most meaningful way possible.

Let's make the most of this last year."

Carolina Navarro, who has left her mark on the history of padel, intends to close her immense career with passion and determination. A page is turning, but a new future is emerging for the former world number one.
