We had the chance to test an incredibly comfortable high-end racket: the Cartri Cannon 720, handcrafted in Spain.

La Cartri Cannon 720 is a high-end pala, in the shape of a light drop of water (365g for the model sent to us).

First impressions

From the first glance you are impressed by the racket, it is all simply magnificent. Glossy black and gold paint, visible carbon squares, we can really say that it throws! The pala is extremely well balanced, which means from the start that we are dealing with a versatile model.

As always with Cartri, we are dealing with particularly neat finishes, including an extremely comfortable padded wrist strap. The brand sells the strength of its handcrafted models in Spain, and that's clearly what you feel with this Cannon 720.

In defense

This is for us the strong point of this pala. Very manoeuvrable, and with excellent bale output, it will be clearly your ally when handing in difficult balls. Its neutral balance and its very comfortable double density foam mean that you can put the balls back live with a lot of quality, whether in lob or to play down.

It is a pala that will be highly appreciated by players who like to block, play lob volleys, and like to feel control in the attack defense transition. The really very wide sweet-spot offers you a lot of tolerance, which is particularly appreciable in return.

On high balls

If you are a big smasher looking for maximum power, this is certainly not the most interesting pala to choose, especially because of its balance. However, this Cannon 720 remains despite everything very pleasant on bandejas and smashes worked, where its good ball exit will allow you to find length without effort.

The presence of 6k carbon on the sides will give you a little boost when you finish, but above all the fact that there is also fiberglass in the frame means that vibration absorption is impressive, which will be very useful if you tend to suffer from elbow pain.

On the fly

On the fly, the Cannon 720 does very well. The glossy smooth paint combined with carbon on the faces allows you to give the ball a lot of speed in attack, while maintaining excellent control. On blockings, the large sweet spot and the double density foam make it possible to never play small arms.

En conclusion

In summary this is a very well balanced pala, more intended for right-wing players who are willing to sacrifice a little power for more control and comfort. Versatile and enjoying a very pleasant touch, it is very reassuring in all phases of the game. This is certainly why she was chosen by Adrian ronco, a player from World Padel Tour, which evolves on the right, and which is a real metronome.

In any case, it is quite rare to find a pala offering high-end services like this with a also great sweet-spot. This Cannon 720 should appeal to many players of all skill levels. The “anti-scratch” treatment of the frame promises a great longevity, so you should be able to keep it for a long time.
