If the final of the Miami Premier Padel P1 between Alejandro Galán / Fede Chingotto and Juan Lebrón / Franco Stupaczuk already promised a lot on a sporting level, it also attracted all eyes for another reason: the face-to-face between Galán and Lebrón, ex-partners for four seasons, the separation of which remains one of the most discussed on the circuit.
Electric heating between ex-partners
The tone was set even before the first point. During thewarming up, the tensions were palpable. Gallant ask Lebrón a few high balls to prepare his smashes, but “El Lobo” is slow to respond, almost deliberately ignoring his former partner and asking him to lower the intensity of the warm-up. A situation that has caused a reaction on social media and among observers present on the scene, starting with Franco Stupaczuk, visibly uncomfortable.
A small scene revealing a relationship very clearly deteriorated since their separation in early 2024.
The Galán-Lebrón divorce: a still sensitive episode
As a reminder, Galan and Lebron formed one of the the most formidable pairs on the circuitTogether, they dominated world padel between 2020 and 2022, accumulating titles and records. But the tensions have multiplied, particularly because of the Lebrón's behavior in the field. Gallant no longer wished to endorse certain attitudes, and the breakup became inevitable.
Since then, everyone has gone their own way. Gallant found a nice complementarity with Federico Chingotto, While Lebrón ended up partnering with Stupaczuk, with whom he has just continued three consecutive finals in 2025.
An icy handshake
But the moment that marked this final the most probably came… after the match. At the time of the traditional handshake, Gallant doesn't even have looked Lebrón in the eyes. A gesture cold, almost contemptuous, which summed up the current state of their relationship. No smiles, no exchange, just formal contact, and each went their separate ways.
Galán no longer wants a relationship
On the images captured during the final, one thing jumps out at you: Juan Lebrón still seems to want to maintain a link with his former partner. As at the end of the match, where he extends his hand cordially, The “Lobo” seems to be looking for a minimum of continuity in their relationship. On the other hand, Alejandro Galán displays a much more closed posture. He doesn't look at Lebrón during the final handshake, and even stopped following him on social media, a sign that the break is clear, voluntary, and without any possible return.
Galán, response on the ground
In the end, it is Alejandro Galán who leaves with the trophy, and perhaps with a little taste of personal revenge. On the sporting front, the pair Galan / Chingotto confirms his excellent start to the season and returns to victory in a P1 after Mar Del Plata 2024.
One thing is certain: if their paths cross again in the final this season, the atmosphere will not be warmer.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
