Le French Padel Team Championship N1 is actively preparing with the captains' meeting which clarified several essential points of the 2025 edition. Organized by the French Tennis Federation, the competition will take place at 4Padel Strasbourg and will bring together the best national teams in a format multi-chance table (MCT).
The competition referees
Four referees have been appointed to ensure the smooth running of the event:
- Michel Carnejac
- Vincent Dole
- Christophe Couret
- Jérôme Becasset
The championship format and the descent modalities
For this edition, the championship will be played under a TMC format, with the teams distributed as follows:
- National 1 Men : 16 teams qualified
- National 1 Ladies : 8 teams qualified
The lowest ranked teams will be relegated to national 2 for the 2026 season:
- At the gentlemen, ranked clubs 15th and 16th will go down in N2.
- At the Women, ranked clubs 7th and 8th will also be relegated to N2.
Rules regarding team composition
Each team can modify its player sheet until a specific date. A captain and an assistant captain may be designated before each meeting. These must be FFT 2025 licensees, but not necessarily in the club concerned.
Players will be ranked based on the top six rankings from their team sheet.
Drawing and organization of the tables
Le draw tables will be carried out as follows:
- gentlemen : Friday January 31 at 11 a.m.
- Women : Friday January 31 at 18 a.m.
The teams will be ordered according to their ranking:
- Ladies Table : 8 teams divided into 3 groups
- Gentlemen's Table : 16 teams divided into 4 groups
The seeds 1 and 2 will be respectively placed at the top and bottom of the table, while the other teams will be positioned by drawing lots.
How the meetings will take place
The match schedule is structured as follows:
- 1/8th final : Friday at 14h (submission of compositions before 13h15)
- 1 / 4 de finale : Saturday at 9h (submission of compositions before 8h15)
- 1 / 2 finale : Saturday at 14h (submission of compositions before 13h15)
- classification matches : Sunday at 9h (submission of compositions before 8h15)
- Final : Sunday at 10h (submission of compositions before 9h15)
The order of the matches will be drawn at the same time as the final table Gentlemen and will be applied in the same way for Ladies.
Rules specific to meetings
- All six players of a team must be present before the start of the match., equipped with their ID and their FFT 2025 license.
- If a team leads 2-0, third match may be cancelled if the captains agree.
- Un substitute can play the last match, but without the possibility of scoring points for the ranking.
- Le captain or deputy captain are allowed to coach their players, but not simultaneously.
Match format and official equipment
The matches will be played at best of three sets with Wilson ball Premier Padel and change of balls in the third set.
