The French championships are fast approaching and one of the big issues will be whether  Bastien Blanqué  can make a little more of a mark on the history of French padel. Triple title holder with  Thomas Leygue , injured and out for the rest of the year, the Toulouse player will finally defend his chances alongside  Nicolas Rouanet A unique association that could well allow him to write a new page in his list of achievements.

Express preparation with Rouanet

This week, Blanqué and Rouanet met for two days of intensive training at  Big Padel from Mérignac , under the orders of  Jean-Thomas Peyrou , Rouanet's regular coach. The goal: to get his bearings, work on his reflexes and refine certain game patterns before starting the competition.

An additional challenge awaits the new pair:  Rouanet is left-handed , which makes managing the center more complex. Bastien has been used to sharing the court with left-handers in recent seasons, notably Dylan Guichard and Julien Seurin, but his best results have been achieved alongside a right-hander. Finding a complementary match quickly will be crucial if he hopes to go far in the table.

With already  6 French champion titles , Blanqué currently shares the record with  Jérémy Scatena  et  Robin Haziza This year it could become  the most successful player in the history of the competition  by winning a 7th title. A huge goal that gives even more significance to this 2025 edition.

Blanqué and Rouanet will be  seed n ° 4 A position that allows them to avoid the top three seeds before the semi-finals. But be careful, the road will not be easy. They could, for example, come across  Timéo Fonteny and Yoan Boronad (TS5)  from the quarter-finals, a clash which already promises to be very intense when we know that the two young Frenchmen have reached a new level this year.
