A few days ago, we revealed to you the full list of qualified pairs for French Championships , which will be held at brand new Casa Padel Kingersheim (Grand Est) du 19 21 in September 2025 .
As for female , all the best French players will be there. On the other hand, among the Men , a series of major injuries comes tarnish the composition of the final painting .
Thomas Leygue officially withdrawn
The big absentee from this 2025 edition is Thomas Leygue , triple reigning French champion et n ° 1 French The neo-Madridian has ruptured the Achilles tendon when Major of Rome and will therefore be forfeit for the rest of the season .
This injury changes the situation: Bastien Blanqué , his historic partner in the French team, finds himself alone at only two months old of the competition. For now, it did not communicate on his intentions regarding a possible replacement.
A Wild Card, the only option for Blanqué
The only possibility for Bastien Blanqué to integrate the 2025 French Championships is to submit a Wild Card request . The FFT awards each year two Wild Cards to anticipate possible forfeits or injuries.
However, even if the rule is not formulated in an absolute manner, it seems unlikely that the French championship committee would grant a wild card to a player who has already taken part in the regional championships.
Blanqué / Molinero, the logical option?
The Marseillais Nicolas Molinero is he too without partner , following the package of Alexander Toppin . Like the Blanqué / Leygue pair, they were part of the automatically qualified .
An association Blanqué / Molinero therefore seems coherent. Molinero, solid right-hand player , could perfectly complement Blanqué's qualities left side . A pragmatic solution two months before kick-off. However, this hypothesis remains uncertain: Molinero having played in the regional championships, it seems difficult to imagine that the committee would grant him a wild card, given the line usually followed in this type of situation.
Blanqué / Bergeron? Unlikely
Track Blanqué / Bergeron had been mentioned for a while. But Johan Bergeron is already registered with Thomas Vanbauce , despite the latter's recent injury.
Asked by Padel Magazine on the sidelines of Bordeaux P2 , the Bordeaux resident has confirmed that he would be present in Kingersheim. He should formalize his participation in the coming weeks.
Rouanet / Vincent: the FIP circuit bet
Other potentially missing pair: Nicolas Rouanet and Pierre Vincent . Real outsiders , both players chose to devote entirely to the FIP circuit this season.
They even have waived the regional championships to dispute the Bordeaux P2 qualifications , thus compromising their place in the French Championships.
A choice risky but thoughtful ? Perhaps they were counting on a Wild Card , in recognition of their commitment to the international circuit . But with only two invitations available , the competition is going to be tough .
A highly sought-after meeting
The French Championships are considered by players as the most important event of the year on French soil . Wild Cards will be rare and expensive, and each major absence could reshuffle the cards in the quest for the national title.
