One year after finishing behind PACA in the U14 Interleague tournament, Occitanie has its revenge, but this time in the U12 category. Following a final that remained undecided until the third and final match, the Occitanie team prevailed 2-1 against PACA and became the 2026 French U12 Interleague champions.
A victory that inevitably takes on a special flavor. Firstly, because the PACA was playing at home , on the slopes of WinWin Padel Cabriès , where the French Interleague U12 Championships took place from August 15 to 17. But also because the two leagues had already occupied the top two places in the previous edition.
The 2025 Revenge
In 2025, the Interleague competition still involved the U14 The PACA region finished in first place ahead of Occitanie and Normandie at the Country Club in Aix-en-Provence.
For the 2026 sporting year, the formula has changed: the Interleague competitions are now reserved for U12 players. , while the U14s compete in the French Pairs Championships.
But the duel between the two strong leagues of southern France continued. And this time, Occitanie reversed the hierarchy.
The PACA region strikes first
The final, however, started perfectly for the Provençals.
Leandro Meireles / Louis Sartorius bring the first point to PACA by dominating Gaspard Escale / Baptiste Pontacq .
The first set was close and decided by a tie-break, before the PACA pair clearly gained the upper hand in the second set:
Meireles / Sartorius beat Escale / Pontacq: 7/6 6/2.
PACA then leads 1-0 and finds himself one victory away from another national title.
Puech / Pourin put Occitanie back in the final
With their backs against the wall, Occitanie reacted immediately in the second match.
Esteban Puech / Stanislas Pourin They controlled their match and allowed their league to draw level thanks to a two-set victory:
Puech / Pourin win 6/3 6/4.
One match apiece.
Everything will therefore come down to the third match. And as is typical of this team format, the pressure is at its highest: The French championship title will be decided in a single match.
Delachaux / Valero deliver the title to Occitanie
The scenario could hardly have been more beautiful to conclude these French U12 Championships.
Le The women's match becomes the decisive match of the final .
And finally Emma Delachaux and Alice Valero which brings the second point back to Occitanie. A victory synonymous with French Interleague U12 Championship title 2026 .
Occitanie 2 – 1 PACA.
One year after having to watch PACA climb to the top step of the podium in U14, Occitanie reverses the roles in U12 and, what's more, wins. on his opponent's land .
Occitanie returns to the top
This success confirms above all the consistency of the work carried out with young people in Occitanie.
The League is no stranger to this level: it had already won the U14 Interleague Tournament in 2023 before finishing finalist in 2024 , beaten 2-1 by Hauts-de-France, then second behind PACA in 2025 Back in 2024, the Occitans had already pushed the final to a third match.
The series is revealing: Champion in 2023, finalist in 2024, second in 2025 and champion again in 2026 , this time in the new U12 category.
And for this first edition of the Interleagues in their new configuration, Occitanie has therefore added its name to the list of winners.
A collective victory, achieved after a nail-biting finish, 2 matches to 1 against PACA and a new strong signal sent by the Occitan training in French padel among young people.
Now, let's turn to... U14.
