The broadcasting rights from World Padel Tour were acquired by Canal + until 2026. Very good news for all the countries covered by this international broadcaster.

We know the padel more and more interested and the World Padel Tour is not going to stream games for free on YouTube forever. In this transition to a padel Professional entirely subject to TV rights, the WPT strikes a blow by validating with Canal +. In particular, this allows the professional circuit to win points face to its competitors.

Moreover, if Canal + is committed with the WPT until 2026, it is because the channel believes that the circuit has a good chance of succeeding in extending its best players who are currently in contract until 2023.

The good news for the development of our sport is that broadcasting rights apply to all countries where the encrypted channel is established.

We are talking about a total of potentially 33 countries.

  • 7 countries outside Africa:

Australia, mainland France and overseas, Comoros, Haiti, Poland, Vanuatu, Vietnam.

  • 26 African countries:

Benin, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Chad, Togo, Madagascar.

You will have noticed that Canal + is present in Poland, a country which will host the next European games in 2023 and where the padel will make its first appearance.

Finally, Canal + makes it possible not to enter into competition with Nordic channels which already have the broadcasting rights of the World Padel Tour.
