Incredible scenes  this Friday at  P2 of Valladolid The women's quarter-final between  Bea González / Claudia Fernández  et  Martita Ortega / Tamara Icardo  turned into chaos when the  secondary court  found itself completely saturated.

The  hundreds of fans , despite having tickets, were stuck outside, unable to access the stands.  3-2 in the first set , the tension rose a notch:  protest songs  broke out, demanding the  immediate relocation of the match to center court The crowd continued to  chant and sing , creating an electric atmosphere that quickly turned to confusion.

 A historic match… and a major organizational hiccup 

Faced with this unmanageable situation, the tournament management took a rare decision:  postpone the match  and the  move to the Plaza Mayor , the emblematic central court of Valladolid.

Result: a quarter-final played in front of a  huge and excited crowd , and an  7/5 7/6 victory for the number 3 seed González/Fernández .

While the atmosphere will remain in the memories, this incident raises questions about the  reception capacity and organization  P2 tournaments. With the growing popularity of padel, it is becoming urgent to better anticipate attendance, especially for matches of this level.
