One of the most combative pairs on the circuit Premier Padel is back. After several months of absence,  Miguel Deus  will return to competition at the highest level during the Italy Major of Rome where he will reform his duo with his brother  Nuno deus .

The Portuguese player himself confirmed the news on his social media with a simple message:  "I'm back" .

An injury that had stopped his momentum

The start of the season had gone badly for Miguel Deus. Injured during winter training, the Portuguese player had been forced to put his career on hold for several months.

A significant absence for one of the most consistent duos on the circuit. The Deus brothers had made a habit of causing numerous problems for the world's best pairs.

While Miguel has already made a gradual return to the  CUPRA FIP Tour  during a competition held in the Netherlands, it is in Rome that his true return to the highest level will be observed.

Rome, the scene of a strange twist of fate

This return to Rome also has a special dimension for French padel.

It was indeed during the Italian Major 2025 that the season of  Thomas Leygue  had suddenly turned around. The French number 1 had suffered a serious injury during his match against the Deus brothers, an injury that had kept him off the slopes for many months.

A year later, while Thomas Leygue is gradually regaining his best form and is also preparing to compete in the Italy Major thanks to his protected ranking, it is now Miguel Deus who is completing his own recovery and making his return to the same place.

A coincidence that will undoubtedly provoke reactions from observers of the circuit.

The best Portuguese players are back together.

Actuellement  56th in the world Nuno Deus had to continue his season without his brother for several months. Now, the two best Portuguese players in the world rankings are reunited.

Classified as  pair number 30 of the tournament They will try to quickly find their bearings in the face of increasingly stiff competition on the circuit. Premier Padel.

After five months of rehabilitation and training, Miguel Deus is finally back on the blue carpet. The question now is how long it will take him to regain his best form and allow the Deus brothers to once again become one of the most dangerous pairs on the circuit.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
