The world's 2nd pair, Gemme Triay / Delphi Brea, won his semi-final against the number 7 seed, Virseda / Salazar, and reaches a fifth final this season in six tournaments played.

A one-sided first set

The pair Triay / Brea won the first set 6/0 by hitting 10 winning shots. The opposing pair, Virseda / Salazar, did not have the opportunity to express herself, not obtaining any break points. The two Spaniards struggled to get into the match, probably tired after spending 5 hours on the courts, especially during the round of 30 and quarter-finals, each played in more than two hours.

A second set in the tie-break

The pair Virseda / Salazar showed more energy and took more risks, finally winning their first game after 30 minutes of play and a tough 7/0 in this match. The number 7 seeds broke the opponent's serve twice and had the opportunity to serve for the set at 5/4, without managing to conclude. It finally took a tie-break to separate the two teams, and it was on the second set point that Virseda / Salazar sticks to a sleeve everywhere.

A third round for Triay / Brea

The decisive round was like the first: one-sided. Triay / Brea quickly broke their opponents and then rolled out. Final victory in three sets (6/0 6/7 6/1) after more than two hours of play. Physically in difficulty, Virseda / Salazar only really held their own against their opponents in the second set, for their first semi-final of the season.
