After a 2025 edition marked by strong participation, the Major Tour will continue its development in 2026 with several notable changes. The circuit will now include seven tournaments spread over the year, compared to five previously, confirming the AF's commitmentPadel to expand its competitive offering.
An enhanced calendar with a summer stage
Among the new features is the appearance of a Summer Major , scheduled from July 23 to 26. This summer stage will take place at Padel Club du Parc 1348 in Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, and will showcase outdoor play. This summer program aims to diversify playing conditions and offer an additional event in the heart of the season.
Expanded tables for both men and women
In response to the demand observed in 2025, the organization has chosen to increase the capacity of the tournaments.
Each stage will now be able to bring together:
- 52 pairs in Men's 1000 (compared to 40 previously)
- 22 pairs in Ladies 500 (compared to 16 previously)
A total of 148 participants expected by edition.
Men's Format 1000
- 8 pairs directly qualified for the round of 16
- 4 pairs qualified for the round of 32
- 12 pairs from the group stages
Ladies' Size 500
- 8 pairs from the groups will advance to the round of 16.
- Four pairs will advance directly to the quarter-finals.
This adaptation aims to respond to the increase in the number of registrations while maintaining a coherent competitive structure.
Prize money revised upwards
The overall budget for the circuit now reaches € 19 000 .
The breakdown by tournament is as follows:
For the gentlemen:
- €500 for the winners
- €250 for the finalists
- €100 for the semi-finalists
- €50 for the quarter-finalists
For the Ladies:
- €400 for the winners
- €200 for the finalists
- €75 for the semi-finalists
An organization adapted to the volumes
With the increase in the number of participants, some clubs will make available six fields instead of four. This change should allow for smooth playing conditions and adherence to deadlines, while giving structures the freedom to adapt the system to their infrastructure.
