Le  FIP ranking  was updated this week and, on the French side, we are seeing a mix of  interesting progress  and  logical falls  related to the schedule and the points to defend.

Guichard remains solid number 1, Bergeron and Blanqué fall back

At the top of the French hierarchy,  Dylan Guichard  remains stable at the  104th place in the world confirming its consistency despite increasingly fierce competition.

Behind them, however, things are moving fast:
Johan Bergeron and Bastien Blanqué  each retreated  14 seats A significant drop that is easily explained:
they had won the  FIP Bronze Hong Kong  last year (40 points), points which they were unable to defend this season.

The same logic applies to other players:

  •  Thomas Leygue  loses a place
  •  Timeo Fonteny  drops 4 places
  •  Yoan Boronad  loses 1 place
  •  Arthur Hugounenq  drop of 6 places, due to a lack of recent results on the FIP Tour

Seurin and Rouanet are showing strong growth

Conversely, some French people are taking full advantage of their recent results.

This is the case for:

  •  Julien Seurin  (+10 places), rewarded by its  final at FIP Bronze Hong Kong
  •  Nicolas Rouanet  (+11 places), thanks to its  quarter-final in Nairobi
  •  Philemon Raichman  (+7 places), also progressing

These performances confirm an interesting trend among several French players.

Among women: few changes but trends

On the women's side, the ranking is a little more stable, although there is more red than green.

  •  Alix Collombon  remains solid  34th in the world
  •  Léa Godallier  wins a place
  •  Carla Toully  steps back slightly
  •  Louise Bahurel  maintains

Further down:

  •  Camille Sireix  et  Melissa Martin  lose 2 places
  •  Lucile Pothier  drops 5 places
  •  Charlotte Soubrié  loses 2 places

 The good surprises

Some players are standing out from the crowd:

  •  Steffi Merah  gains 3 places, notably thanks to its 1/4  at the FIP Bronze Hong Kong
  •  Manon Marcarie  signs the best progression with  +4 places , carried by his  semi-final at the FIP Bronze Hong Kong

 A pivotal week ahead

This ranking perfectly reflects the reality of the circuit:
Between points to defend and new performances, everything can change very quickly.

The next steps promise to be significant, with:

  • le  Miami P1 where several French people will be involved
  • and new tournaments  FIP Tour with valuable points to be won

An opportunity for some to confirm their rise… and for others to bounce back quickly.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
