The FIP rankings released at the start of this week bring a host of good news for French padel. While Dylan Guichard consolidates his position as the French number 1 with a new career-best ranking, Timéo Fonteny continues his rise, Yoan Boronad climbs further in the national hierarchy, and Bastien Blanqué and Maxime Joris make the biggest leaps in the Top 10 after their FIP Bronze title in Frascati. 

Dylan Guichard confirms, Timéo Fonteny enters the Top 140

At the top of the French hierarchy,  Dylan Guichard  continues his progress. The Frenchman gains a place and reaches the  86th world rank , his best career ranking. A great reward for the man who remains firmly established as the French number 1.

Behind him,  Timeo Fonteny  continues his rise. Thanks to his qualification for the main draw of the  Pretoria P1 The My Center Academy player wins  six seats  and climbs to  138th world rank He thus joins the  Top 140 worldwide  while consolidating his position as the number 2 Frenchman.

The other significant improvement concerns  Yoan Boronad .

Also qualified for the Pretoria P1 main draw, the Palavas protégé wins  four seater  and reached the  170th world rank This progress allows him, above all, to surpass  Julien Seurin  in the French rankings to become the  French number 4 .

Along with Timéo Fonteny, the two young Frenchmen continue to close the gap with Dylan Guichard. A question now arises:  How long will it take for the two protégés from Palavas to occupy the top two spots in France? 

Behind them,  Julien Seurin  drops five places (174th) and  Johan Bergeron  of one (181st), without major consequence since they remain respectively number 5 and number 6 French.

Blanqué and Joris, the big winners of the week

However, the strongest growth is attributable to  Bastien Blanqué .

Thanks to his title won at  FIP Bronze from Frascati  with  Maxime Joris The former French number 1 wins  19 seats  and find the  Top 200 worldwide , now occupying the  182th place Excellent news after several complicated months on the FIP circuit.

His partner is also fully enjoying this Italian victory.  Maxime Joris  climb of  16 seats  and is rapidly approaching the Top 200, with a  207th place in the world .

This success in Frascati could well mark a turning point for this new association, which already seems to be finding the necessary mechanisms to aim higher.
