Claudia Jensen: “Things didn’t end well with Jessica Castelló”

Only at 19 years , Claudia jensen is already well established among the best players in the world padel . Currently No. 13 in the FIP ranking , she participated in two Masters Finals , and his rise seems far from over. In an interview with The little one Padel , she looks back on her start to the season, her duet with Tamara Icardo , his breakup with Jessica castelló , and his ambitions for the future.

A convincing start to the season

The 2025 season got off to a good start for Jensen, who reached the quarter-finals in Riyadh and Gijón . If she bowed against Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea , Argentina remains satisfied with its level of play:

"We knew it would be a tough match against world number one contenders. We played well at the start of the match, but then they changed their strategy by slowing down the pace and we felt less comfortable."

A growing complicity with Tamara Icardo

Since October 2024, Claudia has been sharing the track with Tamara Icardo . An association that works well, both on a technical and personal level:

"I've always admired Tamara and thought about playing with her. It was a great opportunity and we complement each other perfectly. We have a great relationship, we laugh a lot, and that helps a lot over a full season."

Their goal this year? Join the world top 4 and, in the long term, Jensen even aims for the top 3 and the dream of number 1 .

His separation from Jessica Castelló: a brutal breakup

Before Icardo, Jessica castelló was his partner. Together they won a title, but the collaboration ended abruptly:

"Things didn't end well, it wasn't easy to accept. What bothered me the most was the forms and the timing. I was informed by audio, and it left me without a partner a few days before a tournament. But these things happen in this sport."

His strong connection with Argentina and his future

Although born in Madrid, Jensen remains very attached to argentina , where she played a tournament in 2024 in Mar del Plata , before having to retire due to injury. A return to her home country in 2025 motivates her enormously.

She also believes that Argentina deserves more tournaments :

"It's really the land of padel. The first great players come from there, and the public there is incredible. The level of atmosphere is unmatched."

A 100% padel family

Padel is a family affair for the Jensens. His father was professional player , his mother also played at a high level, and his brothers are also involved in the sport:

"Since we were little, we have been immersed in this world. My brother Enzo often asks me how I feel the pressure on the big courts."

An ambitious future

Claudia Jensen does not hide her big ambitions :

"My dream is to become world number one. I will continue to work hard, improve in all aspects, and see what the future holds for me."
