It's now official: Claudia Jensen and Alejandra Alonso will team up at the P2 in Valladolid, from June 23 to 29. An almost “forced” association, born from the decisions of their respective former partners, Marta Ortega and Tamara Icardo, to form a duo.
While Jensen had previously played with Icardo and Alonso was coming off a very brief stint with Ortega after being partnered with Andrea Ustero, this game of musical chairs has logically led the two young players, left behind, to join forces. And while this partnership wasn't initially planned, it could well create sparks.
Despite being barely 19 years old, the two players have accumulated nearly 9000 points in the ranking and a real experience on the circuit Premier PadelClaudia Jensen has already reached several semi-finals at this level, while Alejandra Alonso has also reached the semi-finals several times and even better, she has already played in finals without ever winning the title.
This new team therefore promises to be a clever mix of freshness, ambition and power, which could very quickly make a name for itself. While their complementarity has yet to be tested in the field, their dynamic profile and mentality should appeal to fans and challenge more established pairs.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
