The association was announced last spring, but it never really had the chance to take off.  Jules Marie and Clément Filho, aka Le Chiquiteur, will finally be able to launch their adventure together on the FIP circuit And the date is already set: it will be during the second edition of the  FIP Bronze Marnes , organized from  September 1st to 5th at Forest Hill in Marnes-la-Coquette .

A tournament that will be particularly remembered  Clément Filho makes a triumphant return to competition , more than three months after his serious ankle injury.

More than three months later, Le Chiquiteur is back

Last May, Clément Filho announced some bad news to his community: having suffered a severe sprain on a padel court, he was in pain.  rupture of two ligaments .

The initial diagnosis suggested  six weeks of immobilization  and a return to full-intensity sport not for about three and a half months. An injury that had forced him to put several objectives on hold, including the regional championships, but also his budding ambitions on the FIP circuit with Jules Marie.

Three months later, the hiatus is coming to an end. And for his return, Le Chiquiteur isn't choosing just any meeting:  an international tournament in the Paris region which is expected to feature a particularly high level of competition .

Filho / Marie, an association that had never really been able to get off the ground

The partnership between the two men was announced last April-May and inevitably generated interest.  Clément Filho and Jules Marie are among the most followed profiles in French padel on social media. , with two large communities and a shared taste for creating content around their daily lives as gamers.

But reducing this association to its media potential would be to miss their ambitions.

The two men also want  prove themselves on the track  and show that they can achieve results together on the circuit. Clément Filho's injury had halted their project almost before it had even truly begun.

This time, barring any unforeseen circumstances,  The real start of the Filho/Marie pairing will indeed take place in Marnes-la-Coquette .

Jules Marie already knows the Marnes trails

While this will be a first for Clément Filho at the FIP Bronze Marnes, Jules Marie already knows the place.

In the first edition, the former professional tennis player had played alongside the Belgian  Maxime Deloyer The duo had managed to secure their place in the main draw by being  the last pair qualified  to get through the qualifying rounds.

And the adventure didn't end there.

In the first round of the main draw, Marie/Deloyer took advantage of their opportunity by defeating the lucky loser pair composed of  Raphaël Rubio and Quentin Bernard After losing the first set, they completely turned the match around to win in three sets:  4/6 6/0 6/2 .

In the next round, the challenge was logically greater against  Thomas Vanbauce and Lucas Pillon who had imposed themselves  6 / 2 6 / 2 .

A positive outcome nonetheless for Jules Marie, who had managed to get through the qualifications and then a round of the main draw for his first appearance in Marnes-la-Coquette.

A return directly to the deep end

However, this second edition could present an even greater challenge.

Positioned just before the  Paris Major The FIP Bronze Marnes tournament should capitalize on its place in the calendar to attract a particularly competitive field. For Jules Marie and Clément Filho, the tournament will therefore quickly reveal the new pair's level of play.

Chiquiteur will obviously need time to recover, as he's returning after more than three months without competition and a significant injury. But this partnership remains one of the French pairings to watch during the tournament.

Because behind the videos, social media, and their two communities,  Jules Marie and Clément Filho also want to be taken seriously as competitors. .

Their adventure had been interrupted before it had even truly begun.  In Marnes-la-Coquette, on September 1st, it will finally be able to make its true start.
