Padel Intelligence gives us stunning statistics from the men's final at Genova P2. One of them alone could well explain the enormous problem, or even the failure of the Coello/Tapia pair against Chingotto/Galan.

Here we are not talking about Grandson.

In eight matches against Chingalan, the Spaniard Arturo Coello has a smash success rate of 39,5%. Worse still, today, Coello only managed one smash out of the 9 attempted, i.e. only 11% success rate.

Taking into account all the other matches, for a total of 41 games, Coello's smash success rate is of 58,6%.

For comparison, Galan managed 9 smashes out of 11 attempted. Even Chingotto managed the feat of doing better than Coello with 2 successful smashes out of 4 attempts.

Coello cannot do it against Chingotto/Galan. Beyond the game, Coello will have to find the right keys to rebalance these statistics against Chingalan.
