Le BNL Italy Major Premier Padel officially began in Rome in the prestigious setting of the Foro Italico, and it was a well-known guest of world tennis who attracted all eyes: Sara Errani. Freshly crowned with two titles at Roland Garros - and double ladies with Jasmine Paolini, then in mixed doubles with Andrea Vavassori – the Italian tried to extend the party on the padel courts.
Associated with Giulia Dal Pozzo, Errani fought for more than two hours in a close match, under the watchful eyes of many stars of the circuit like Ari Sanchez, Claudia jensen, Lucia Sainz, Patty Llaguno or, Fede ChingottoBut despite the encouragement of the public, the Italian duo lost in two very hard-fought sets against Sandra Bellver et Laia Rodriguez (7/6, 7/5).
The second day of the Major promises to be just as intense: 28 matches are scheduled from 9 a.m. on the various tournament tracks. The afternoon session will begin at 16 p.m.
