After several weeks of inactivity,  Coki Nieto  will make his return to competition at  P2 of Gijón The Madrid player took advantage of his presentation with  Kuikma  to return, in an interview given to  BRAND , on his injury, his change of plans and his ambitions for the season.

A comeback after an elbow injury

Absent from the  Hexagon Cup  and  Riyadh P1 Coki explained the reason for his withdrawal
"I started experiencing pain in October. After the Finals, tests showed that I had a damaged ligament in my elbow. I preferred to stop."

A deliberate choice to avoid worsening the situation
"I thought I could make it to Riyadh, but it wasn't possible. I preferred to rest and arrive in Gijón in better shape rather than push myself."

Today, the medical green light has been given, although it tempers expectations regarding his condition.
"I won't be at 100%, but at a fairly high percentage... and improving."

 Back with Jon Sanz

On the partners side, Coki is reforming the duo with  Jon sanz , with whom he had won the  Premier Padel Finals 2024 An association that came about naturally
“Playing with Jon is like playing from memory. We know each other very well and we complement each other. If we play well, we can compete with anyone.”

Henceforth  pair n°5 They will have more complicated charts, but the objective is clear.
"To secure the quarter-finals that correspond to our ranking, then give it our all."

 A look at the circuit

Despite his absence, Nieto followed the development of the new pairs. He sees  Stupaczuk / Yanguas  as a very solid duo and believes that  Paquito / Guerrero  can aim high.

Speaking on  Garrido / Bergamini it is equally clear
"Javi has enormous potential. His power is making the difference today."

 Title objective

For this season, the Spaniard is making his intentions clear.
"I'd like to win a title. Last year, we came close."

Before even talking about a new coronation at  Finals The primary objective is to regain rhythm and competitive form. Gijón will mark the true start of his season.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
