Complicated start for  Alix Collombon  and his partner  Araceli Martínez  au  FIP Platinum Seville Seeded 9, the Franco-Spanish pair lost in their opening match against  Laura Lujan (58)  et  Letizia María Manquillo Alarza (56)  on the score of  6 / 4 7 / 6 .

A close match, where the details made the difference. Collombon and Martínez only converted  2 break points out of 6 , against  On 3 7  for their opponents. On the other side, Luján and Manquillo showed solidity in the important moments, especially in the second set which ended in a tie-break.

This early elimination is a  bad operation  for Collombon and Martínez, who could have hoped for a more open table. In case of victory, they would have found  Mónica Gómez Rivas and Carolina Navarro Björk , a lower ranked pair, with a real opportunity to reach the quarter-finals and leave with at least  50 FIP points .

For  Luján , former partner of Léa Godallier, and  Manquillo , on the contrary, it's a great deal: they reach the last 16 where they will face Gómez Rivas and Navarro.

For its part,  Colombon  will now have a few days of rest before returning to the slopes on Friday for the start of the French championships.
