The stage of Head Padel Open 2018 in Toulouse Padel Club surprised its world by the quality of the players present on the field but also by the incredible matches delivered by the players. Among the ladies, the Collombon / Ginier pair confirms that she is the big favorite of her own succession at the French championships of padel 2018. Among the men, the brothers of Benito did not go far from the exit. And what about the Morillon / Potron pair?

Collombon / Ginier proves that she is above.

Victory in 3 sets of the Vo / Casanova pair against the Vandaele / Alquier pair. This is the confirmation of the recent good performances of this pair created especially for the French championships in the absence of Laura Clergue. The Mai Vo / Audrey Casanova pair will undoubtedly be expected in the next major events of padel.

On the other side, despite a first one-way set, the Collombon / Ginier pair will fight in the 2e set to win against the solid Martin / Sorel pair.

The latter are more offensive to 2e set and take more initiatives but finally bow in 2 sets without demerit ...

The women's final, despite a fairly severe score that does not really reflect the face of the match, is won in 2 sets 6 / 2 6 / 3 by the seeded pair N ° 1 Collombon / Ginier.

After a difficult start to the match (5 / 0), Mai Vo and Audrey Casanova decide to play more forward and cut the trajectories.

Bullets gradually accelerate and eventually take the champions of France speed.

But in the game of acceleration, the pair Ginier / Collombon is stronger and is certainly the most aggressive pair of ladies of the French circuit.

Benito's brothers win, Morillon / Potron pair surprises

In men, surprises are linked. After eliminating the pair Boulade / Le Panse, the Franco-Swiss Morillon / Potron win their semi-finals in the 7 / 6 7 / 6 pain against Roumy / Trancart, a pair that has not finished impressing us in because of their solidity and excellent complementarity.

The other semi-final will see the victory of the De Benito brothers. Yet these two players of the World Padel Tour were the favorites of the competition. But from the start of the match, we feel that the Mannarino / Salines pair have not given their last word and the Spaniards are not far from losing in 2 sets. The Spanish pair finally won in 3 sets with a scathing 6/1 in the 3rd set.

Since the start of the competition, we considered that the lower part of the table was much higher than the upper part. Yet the French-speaking pair Morillon / Potron did not cease to amaze us by the game offered throughout the Head Padel Open. The final was no exception to the rule.

Benito's brothers thought they would get out of it in the final after their explosive semifinal. However, after the win of the first set, the Spaniards are broken entries and find themselves trying to break in this second set ... In vain. The fault in the pair Morillon / Potron just outstanding. No doubt we will find them together on other competition as the deal went well on the ground.

Xavi de Benito, 113th player of the World Padel Tour and Jorge de Benito, 244th in the WPT, nevertheless had a good match with PAR 3s made from the baseline!

But the Morillon / Potron pair does not blink and bravely defends its luck until the end ... and wins the 2e set 6 / 4.

During the game, the body flanks, Javier de Benito cramped cramps must appeal to the physio at the end of 2e set. Pierre-Etienne Morillon who was injured during his 8e finals, works hard ... and yet the show continues to beat in the last set.

Finally, the experience of the highest level pays and the brothers of Benito win 6 / 3 3e set but in pain.

Given the incredible level proposed in this final, we are already looking forward to finding these two pairs in upcoming tournaments ...

As usual, the Head Padel Open offers a quality competition in a club, Toulouse Padel Club which will host the final phases of the French championships of Padel and the French Open of padel next September.

The season continues and we will meet in Aix-en-Provence at the end of July for the next big stage of the circuit. Head Padel Open 2018.
