New pair this week on the FIP circuit:  Dylan Guichard , 134th in the world, will play the  FIP Silver Dezhou  in China alongside the Argentinian  Ramiro Moyano , 78th in the world. Dylan explains to us how this association with Moyano, one of the figures of world padel, came about.

A spontaneous proposal from Moyano

The initiative for this collaboration comes directly from  Ramiro Moyano  himself. This association was made in a very  Nature Moyano, looking for a partner for this Chinese tournament, contacted the Frenchman, who did not hesitate to accept this opportunity.

Dylan clarifies that this association is  punctual . Moyano already has a partner (Jose Jimenez) in the tournaments Premier Padel, and this tournament in China is not a long-term commitment. “He just asked me for China because he didn't have anyone. And I accepted, but it's just one tournament,” Dylan explains, adding that there are no other collaborations planned at the moment.

A tournament to collect points

Valuable points are to be found at  FIP Silver Dezhou , with  80 points  At stake for the winner, for Dylan, the objective is clear:  regain confidence  and accumulate victories. “If we win the tournament for me it’s very very very good, so I’m clearly going for that.”

Guichard is aware that the task will not be easy: “There are some very good teams, so it’s not certain at all, but we’ll give it our all.” For him, this tournament represents a  opportunity  to regain sensations and position oneself favorably for the next challenges.

A clear strategy for Guichard

Dylan explains that the main issue is to  earn points  in order to become a seed in tournament qualifying  Premier Padel “The goal for me is to regain some confidence, try to win FIP tournaments and try to score points.”

For the moment, the tournaments  P2 and P1  are not of great interest to the Frenchman, except when they are close to Europe and there are no major FIP events running alongside them. “For the moment, I don't have much interest in playing P2 and P1, except when they are in Europe, close by, and there are no other major FIP tournaments.”

A duo to follow in China

The pair  Guichard / Moyano  will be seeded 3 during this  FIP Silver Dezhou If this one-off partnership works out well, it could mark a turning point in Dylan's season. "I'm going there to win points and regain confidence," says the player, determined to  restart  after a psoas injury that kept him off the field.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
