La Company of the Alps finalized the acquisition of the sports center Sport4lux, located at Munsbach (Luxembourg), via its subsidiary Urban soccer, thus integrating into its scope of activities the main padel and 5-a-side football centre in the country.

Sport4lux is a sports and leisure center with several padel courtswhich make it a benchmark in the Greater Region. This operation is part of the group's European development strategy, which aims to expand its leisure sports offering in area with high potential, characterized by one of the highest GDP per capita in Europe.

This acquisition marks a further step for Urban soccer, a subsidiary of the group specializing in multi-sports centers, which notably owns the brand UrbanPadel for the development of facilities dedicated to padel. Compagnie des Alpes had begun an integration process in 2024 Urban soccer and UrbanPadel to its leisure portfolio. In March 2024, the CDA announced the signing of an agreement for the acquisition of 86,5% of the capital of Soccer 5 France SAS, the parent company of the Urban group (which includes UrbanSoccer and UrbanPadel), with a view to integrating this leader in 5-a-side football and padel into its activities.

Urban Group, founded in the early 2000s, has gradually established itself as a major player in the French leisure sports market, with several dozen centers including five-a-side football pitches and padel courts. The integration of this network into the Compagnie des Alpes ecosystem aims to strengthen the offering of team sports and leisure activities "alongside" the group's traditional parks.

In an official statement, Compagnie des Alpes emphasized that this acquisition not only allowed...to expand its international footprint, But also capitalize on Urban Soccer's operational experience to develop new projects and offer an enriched experience to its audiences.

The operation is in line with the group's strategy, which in recent years has seen a surge in acquisitions and partnerships in the field of sports, leisure and recreational activitiesaiming to diversify its activities beyond traditional ski resorts and theme parks.

With this partnership, Compagnie des Alpes affirms its commitment to develop access to rapidly growing racket sports, like padel, while consolidating its presence in high-purchasing-power markets such as Luxembourg.
