José Luis Salines gives us some advice on how to best cope with this period of confinement. Advice that you can even apply once quarantine is over.

José Luis Salines is a coach of padel very well known in France, since he officiates at the Mas in Perpignan, in Béziers Padel Club, at the Area Padel Narbonne, or even in Sète Padel Club. He is also a former high level athlete, Top 500 at ATP, then TOP 80 at World Padel Tour. He is still today one of the best players of padel in France.

Here are his tips!

✅ Start the day with a good glass of water

✅ In the morning do half an hour of continuous exercise, walk around the house, do leg curls, stretch, etc. Then have a good breakfast containing a good source of protein now more than ever your body by requires.
Prepare the 5 meals by introducing fruits and vegetables, legumes and avoiding as much as you can the meat to replace it with another protein

✅ Drink 2 liters of water a day

✅ In the afternoon do another half hour of sport. Do not spend the day inactive: every hour, get up and walk for 5 minutes for example around the house

✅ Sleep 8 hours a night
Don't fall asleep late while watching TV.
Read it every day for a while, and if you haven't been in the habit of doing it until now, there's always a good time to start!

✅ Go out on the terrace to get some fresh air as often as possible and if you don't have a terrace, open the window and breathe, you need fresh air and sun!

✅ Do not snack on high calorie things between meals, because having less activity, the metabolism will not burn them and this can lead to ending up with a few extra pounds.
Be aware of what's going on with coronavirus but don't stay on the news all day: it's not good for your morale
Above all, keep in mind that all of this will end and that we will all return to normal life soon.
