Quarantine is not an excuse to remain inactive. Every day we offer you a session to do at home in order to arrive in great shape when resuming padel.

Today we offer you a special session to improve your footwork. It was prepared by Sergio Alba, 67th in World Padel Tour, and sports coach. If, like most people, you're not as comfortable as Sergio in this exercise, don't try to go too fast from the start. Focus first on the good execution of the sequences, you will have all the time thereafter to increase the speed.

4 exercises are offered and Sergio performs them in the 90/60 format: 90 seconds of effort, 60 seconds of active rest (light jogging in the apartment). He does the four exercises, 4 times in total, which gives a session of 40 minutes in all. Video speed represents 75% of maximum speed to which he can perform these exercises. It should be borne in mind that he is a high level sportsman, used to this type of work, and therefore capable of maintain quality throughout the session.

For most of us it is impossible to hold this quality / intensity for so long, so I advise to do the 90/60 only if you are really used to working in this way. For others you can reduce working time according to your level and your objectivess. 30/30, 45/30 or even 60/60 are very possible formats for this session. It will be necessary toadapt the intensity according to the working time. If you reduce the working time a lot, you can of course add one or two series.

Sergio wears a elastic band above the knees to add resistance, if you have one, it's interesting to put it on but if you don't have any, you can perfectly do the exercises without it. Since in the end this session is not very long, do not hesitate to add a little sheathing, or some Stretching, or both!
