I'm passionate about padel. I live this sport, I follow it every day, I love it. And today, I want to push a rant, because once again, a broadcast problem comes to spoil what should be a party: the Major of Italy, one of the four biggest tournaments of the season Premier Padel.
Another frustration for fans
This morning, it was impossible to follow the matches on Canal +, even though Padel Magazine announced that the channel would take over from the quarter-finals. So yes, I want—ironically of course—to Padel Magazine. But more seriously, I don't understand Canal+'s position. in this story.
Public chat the official YouTube channel of Premier Padel, the matches are simply blocked for French spectators. And the problem is that Canal+ is not yet broadcasting the matches at this stage of the tournament. Indeed, it's very clear, she will do it from 16 p.m.! What are you doing? Premier Padel ?
Who is responsible ?
To be completely honest, I am aware that Canal+ is probably not the cause of this blockage. From what I know, the channel does not wish to prevent the broadcasting on YouTube of matches that it does not broadcast itself. So why this blockage?
This is where the problem lies: there is a lack of clear coordination between Canal+ and Premier PadelCanal + would not block. Quite the opposite. So? Indeed, Premier Padel appears to be able to freely stream all previous matches on YouTube in France.
But today, that is not the case. And that is the fan who drinks.
A subscription for nothing?
Like many others, I subscribed to Canal+ largely to follow padel. And today, I feel cheated. Of course, I don't want to exaggerate: it's just a sport, there's nothing dramatic about it. But for a passionate person, It's extremely frustrating.
This isn't the first time this has happened. And frankly, This vagueness harms the image of padel. It also harms Canal+, which nevertheless has been doing real work promoting this sport for several years. But due to the force of draft messages and partial broadcasts, it gives the impression of a lack of consideration towards the fans.
I am not trying to accuse, but simply to call for greater clarity and coordinationPadel deserves better. So do its fans.

I completely agree with C.Ibanez, I experience the same frustration as a Canal + subscriber, I would add that this has been the case for other premier padel tournaments, it's complete nonsense. I would even prefer that all the matches remain on YouTube, at least we have the choice of matches.
