The International Federation of Padel (FIP) has officially announced the allocation of  FIP World Cups 2026 and 2028  au  Qatar The two editions of the most prestigious national team competition will take place in  Doha   visit us at the  Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex with a record prize fund that will reach  1,2 million euros in 2026 then  1,35 million euros in 2028 .

Doha, the world capital of padel for the next two World Cups

Already host of  Qatar Major Premier Padel  since 2022 and the last World Team Championships, the  Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex  has once again convinced the FIP.

The edition  2026  will take place from  2 TO 7 NOVEMBER 2026  and will bring together  16 national men's teams  et  16 national women's teams who will compete for the world titles.

By awarding two consecutive editions to Doha, the FIP hopes to provide stability to its flagship event and continue its international development.

A record prize pool in the history of padel

The other big announcement concerns the  prize money The FIP World Cup reaches a new milestone with unprecedented prizes:

  •  1,2 million euros in 2026 
  •  1,35 million euros in 2028 

These amounts will be distributed  equal shares between men's and women's competitions , a first at this level. It is quite simply the  largest prize money ever awarded in an official padel competition .

Why Qatar was chosen

According to the FIP, several criteria were taken into account in the decision:

  • the quality of sports infrastructure;
  • the conditions offered to players and delegations;
  • experience in organizing large international events;
  • financial guarantees;
  • high safety standards;
  • the sporting legacy developed by Qatar in recent years.

Luigi Carraro: "A forward-looking decision"

The President of the FIP,  Luigi Carraro welcomed this announcement:

“Awarding the 2026 and 2028 FIP World Cups to Doha is a forward-looking decision for our sport. Qatar has repeatedly demonstrated that it has all the necessary qualities to host world-class events. Organizing two consecutive editions will ensure continued growth for the tournament and provide an exceptional experience for players, federations, and fans.”

He also recalled that Doha has become  one of the strongholds of world padel , praising the work of the Qatari Federation in developing the discipline.

For its part,  Tareq Zainal , Secretary General of Qatar Padel Federation welcomed this decision with enthusiasm.

“We are honored that the International Federation of Padel has entrusted Doha with the organization of the 2026 and 2028 World Cups. This confidence rewards the work of our federation and our partners in delivering events that meet the highest international standards.

According to him, hosting two consecutive editions represents a unique opportunity to continue the development of the competition and to offer an even more complete experience to players, national teams and fans from all over the world.
