This is information that requires verification by the International Federation of Padel. In the format proposed for the Intercontinental Cup, where the best players in the world will compete, the difference compared to the World Championships would be the introduction, for the first time officially by the FIP, of a mixed opposition.

This mixed format would therefore not count as a official ranking, but could be used to decide between the two continents in the event of a perfect tie.

For theArgentina, logic would dictate that Delfina Brea, currently the only player in the world's top 10, to be associated with Agustín TapiaThis pair would bring together the talents of two of the best Argentine padel representatives.

On the side ofSpain, the FIP seems to be orienting its choice towards an association between Ari Sánchez et Arturo Coello. This decision is consistent, given that Ari Sánchez's usual partner, Paula Josemaría, is left-handed, which could complicate a possible association between two left-handers. Thus, associating Ari Sánchez with Arturo Coello would allow to form a balanced and competitive pair.

We would like to remind you that this is a priori a project currently being developed by the FIP, which has not yet been definitively validated and which could still evolve in one direction or the other.
