The 7th stage of Cupra Padel-Point Tour came to an end on Saturday. Back in detail on a weekend of padel fantastic at the Pyramids.

Shows and entertainment despite the heat!

If during a previous article we had been able to praise the quality of the “launch” of this 7th stage on Friday evening, it was only a foretaste of what we could expect the next day. Saturday was clearly the “main course” of the weekend.

This edition of the Pyramids was one of the standard bearers of the circuit: an exceptional place which usually hosts one of the biggest tournaments on the French circuit (the P2000), more than 4 scheduled competitions (1 P500 men and 1 P500 women, 1 P100 men and 1 P100 women) and the traditional circuit events. This is how to recontextualize this stage of the Cupra Padel-Point Tour in a few words.

Under a blazing sun, the players will have struggled to win their respective competitions but also to enjoy the (well-deserved) aperitif at the end of the day. At the same time, the public who came in droves to attend the day had a great time, despite the heat.

Taking advantage of an impressive number of matches, but also of entertainment that delighted the youngest and the oldest, the players and the public were able to enjoy an exceptional exhibition match: Ben Tison (French number 1) and Téo Zapata (66th player in the world) vs Yann Auradou (9th French player) and Manuel Vives (25th French player).

An exceptional exhibition match!

A prestigious poster, full of beautiful points and an intensity rarely displayed by players during an exhibition. No doubt that the fact that this match is training before the first edition of the Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major could play. The players will have really played the game in order to win this game, to the delight of the public. After talking with Manuel at the end of his match, he told me that playing this match against “this pair who is used to international standards was excellent for him".

Once the exhibition was over, the activities resumed their course and the competition as well, ending peacefully around an aperitif including the Cupra Padel-Point Tour has the secret.

See you on the weekend of July 23/24 in Bandol for the next stage of the circuit!

Passionate about football, I discovered the padel in 2019. Since then, it's been crazy love with this sport to the point of abandoning my favorite sport.
