Du 11 to 13 April, Corsica welcomes the P1000 C5 Stadium of Bastia with a great line-up mixing players from the French Top 30 and a new pair that will be the talk of the region: Cyril Hanouna / Aitor Garcia Bassas.
Seeded 6th in the tournament, the pair Cyril Hanouna / Aitor Bassas (128th in the world) will be playing their first tournament together. This is their first partnership on the tour, and it will be interesting to see how this partnership works against a strong field.
Cyril Hanouna chose to partner with the Spanish Aitor Garcia Bassas, originally from Girona, who reached 72nd place in the world in 2022, his best ranking to date. Aged 30, Garcia Bassas is currently ranked 128th in the world, even though he has already been in the world top 100 and was even Benjamin Tison's last partner on the FIP Tour / Premier Padel before his international retirement. He has played nearly 60 matches on the circuit Premier Padel and notably reached the final of the FIP Gold Saltillo last season. Today, the Spaniard is mainly involved in the A1 Padel alongside another well-known player in France: Andres Britos.
For its part, Cyril Hanouna is aiming for a lasting place in the French Top 100 this season. After competing in several tournaments in 2025, he has increased his partnerships with partners such as Teo Zapata (38th in the world), Johan Bergeron (4th French), Arthur Hugounenq (27th French), or even the Italian Aris Patiniotis (world number 51) during the P2000 in Lyon.

A big sports enthusiast and former tennis player, I discovered padel a few years ago without really focusing on it. Then I became addicted to this sport by practicing it and watching the premier padel matches. Looking forward to sharing the 2025 news with you!
