Daniel Dios , co-director of the padel division at  WME Sports , gave us some of his time to talk about the  FIP Promises Paris  WME  Sports , a unique event in the international junior landscape. Behind this project, there is a clear ambition:  create a link between young players and the professional world , while structuring a rapidly expanding sport.

 A unique event for juniors

Unlike classic FIP Promises tournaments, which are often limited to a single country, the  FIP Promises Paris  WME    Sports  wants to bring together  the best young talents in Europe and try to bring in many talents from outside Europe "It's unprecedented outside of the European Championships or the Junior World Championships, and even then, these are team competitions. Here, we're working on a private initiative, with real international ambition."

This tournament is not just about the sporting aspect. It offers  an immersion in professional standards  : technical support, career management training, mental preparation, visibility… A true model to prepare future champions for what awaits them.

WME Sports: a global sports player that believes in padel

WME Sports is a global sports industry powerhouse. Tennis, NBA, golf, Formula 1, sailing, martial arts… and now  paddle The company already represents  Arturo Coello , world number 1, and is banking on a targeted strategy: few players, but the best, and a strong commitment to young people.

"We don't want to have 30 players under contract. We want the number 1s in the men's and women's teams, and to structure the  next gen  with the right tools, the right partners, the right academies.”

A model based on image and impact

To grow padel, WME is banking on  celebrity strength  that it represents.  Tom Holland, Stormzy, Charles Leclerc, Eva Longoria, David Beckham … Everyone is sensitive to padel. And if these personalities enter a court,  the media impact is immediate "It's a powerful lever for introducing professional players to the general public. We want amateurs to know who the world number one is, even if they don't yet follow the tournaments."

With Arturo Coello, the objective is clear:  transcend padel , to make it exist outside its current sphere, as Alcaraz can do in tennis.

Developing junior padel: a global challenge

According to Daniel Dios, the real difficulty today is the  low place of young people in private structures . "As long as the clubs are full of amateurs, they don't think about children. And when they do think about it, they still need trained coaches, programs, slots, resources..." This is where projects like the FIP Promises Paris WME Sport take on their full meaning.

WME  brings its commercial network , its image, its contacts with international brands. Objective:  ease the costs of inviting foreign players , help build a lasting event, and  create a new standard for world junior padel .

 A bet on the future

The FIP Promises Paris WME Sport could become a  padel health barometer , much more than just a tournament. "It's a good indicator of whether padel is becoming structured in a healthy way. This type of initiative needs to multiply, in France but also elsewhere."

Arturo Coello   fully supports the project . And WME is exploring the possibility of attracting celebrities or organizing exhibitions for  amplify the reach of the event .

 One tournament, one vision

With the support of WME Sports, the  FIP Promises Paris   WME Sport  looks like  much more than a junior tournament . It is a declaration of intent:  structure world padel from the ground up , create a direct gateway to professionalism, and bring brands, academies and players into a global dynamic.

An initiative which, if successful, could well become a  model for the future of international junior padel .

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
