The FIP Bronze San Juan de Alicante, which takes place in Spain at the El Salt padel club, begins this Wednesday with the first round of men's qualifications. Two French pairs are in the running and will have to battle through the four qualifying rounds planned in Alicante to hope to secure a place in the main draw.
The pair Thomas Seux (295) / Nathan Courrin (328), seeded number 8, is on a good run with a semi-final at the FIP Bronze Nola and a quarter-final at the FIP Silver Leira. She will face the young Spaniards Adriá Ruiz Pérez (15 years old, 2144th) and Bryan Santos Colmenar (16 years old, 2144th). The match is scheduled for the third rotation on court 4, around 18:30 p.m.
NB: the French pair Seux / Courrin will ultimately not participate in the tournament.
The two young 17-year-old Frenchmen, Tom Basso (1045) et Jeremy Robert (2144), will face the Spanish pair Aaron Picó Ortega (1736) / Daniel Martinez Rizo (2144), two 21-year-old players who have not yet qualified in the FIP Tour this season. Their match is scheduled in the last rotation of the day, after that of Seux / Courrin, or around 20 p.m., depending on the progress of previous meetings.
Matches start at 15:30 p.m. local time.
The main draw will begin on Friday with two French entries: Arthur Hugounenq, associated with the Italian Daniele Cattaneo, and Romain Sichez, in duet with the Spaniard Carlos Perez Cabeza.

A big sports enthusiast and former tennis player, I discovered padel a few years ago without really focusing on it. Then I became addicted to this sport by practicing it and watching the premier padel matches. Looking forward to sharing the 2025 news with you!
