It was awaited with great impatience and it is finally here... we know the list of players who will travel to Cagliari (Italy), for the European Championships Padel 2024.

Male selection

With the pensions of Jérémy Scatena et Benjamin Tison, we knew there was room in the France team. Two places were therefore freed up in the French team, offering the possibility for players of the new generation to earn their place in the selection.

Urban artist Jerome Inzerillo, who we were used to seeing among the Blues, will not be present in Italy either, therefore freeing up a third place. Three new players are therefore joining Team France.

The male list:

  • Adrien Maigret
  • Johan Bergeron
  • Max Moreau
  • Bastien Blanqué
  • Thomas Leygue
  • Dylan Guichard
  • Maxime Joris
  • Thomas Vanbauce

Consequently, Maxime Joris, Dylan Guichard and Thomas Vanbauce will make their very first appearance in the French team!

Women's selection

Among the ladies, the players seem unstoppable. We find seven pillars of Team France, who we have already seen on numerous occasions with the tricolor jersey. However, among these experienced players hides an intruder, who will also have her first selection.

The list :

  • Alix Collombon
  • Jessica Ginier
  • Lucile Pothier
  • Léa Godallier
  • Carla Toully
  • Charlotte Soubrié
  • Fiona Ligi
  • Camille Sireix

It is therefore Camille Sireix which we will find among the Bleues, who had a good start to the season! As well as Carla Toully, which will make its appearance at the European Championships! (Even if she had already represented France during of the European Games alongside Charlotte Soubrié)

Note in particular the absence of Tiffany Phaysouphanh, who had been approached to also join this French team. However, as said Benjamin Tison in an interview for Padel Magazine "For me, it's complicated [to be selected] when you don't participate in the internship“. Consequently, Tiffany not having participated in the internship in Perpignan, could not be selected.

Melissa Martin, as Elodie Invernon et Wendy Barsotti, were not selected. Despite many international tournaments and good results this season for Wendy and Élodie, it was not enough.

Same observation for Louise Bahurel who, despite very good results, must still be too young for the selectors. However, it seems obvious that we should see her in future selections.

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
