After having to give up the semi-final of the Valladolid tournament and then miss out on Bordeaux,  Delfina Brea prepares to return to competition  on the occasion of  Premier Padel Malaga P1 , third Spanish meeting of the 2025 circuit.

The Argentinian player posted a training video on her social media, filmed from the Andalusian city. While the footage seems reassuring about her return to action,  One detail, however, catches the eye: she appears with a compression sleeve on her right calf. , precisely the area where she had been injured. This type of protection is often used for prevention or to support recovery after injury, which leaves questions about her real physical condition.

 The Malaga tournament , disputed within the enclosure of the  Palace of Deportes José María Martin Carpena , will provide a spectacular setting for this highly anticipated return. This large multi-purpose hall, which can accommodate up to  11 000 spectators , is usually the stronghold of the basketball club Unicaja Málaga, but this week it is transformed into a temple of padel.

 Delfi Brea will play his first match this Thursday , alongside Gemma Triay, facing a pair from the qualifications:  Saiz Vallejo / Lobo , a largely affordable duo on paper for the number 2 seed. The meeting is scheduled  in second rotation on the central track from 10 a.m. , which should mark the start of the match  around 11:30 p.m. .

This tournament also represents a  strategic stake in the race for the rank of world number one for women . If Ari Sánchez and Paula Josemaría currently dominate the rankings,  the pair Gemma Triay – Delfi Brea takes first place in the 2025 Race , the specific ranking of the current season. A performance in this P1 could redistribute the cards as the break approaches.

Between physical precautions and sporting ambition,  Delfi Brea's return will be closely scrutinized  on the Andalusian slopes of Martín Carpena.
