Invited to participate in a game proposed by BrandDelfi Brea undertook a delicate task: ranking the greatest female padel players in history. The Argentinian, currently world number 1 alongside Gemma Triay, established her Top 10, with some bold choices… and a slight hesitation. 

A podium dominated by three legends

For Delfi Brea, three players clearly stand out when it comes to discussing the greatest in history:  Alejandra Salazar, Carolina Navarro and Gemma Triay .

A trio that, according to Argentina, deserves to be at the very top of the rankings. The three Spanish players have left their mark on different generations of women's padel, even if their paths have diverged since then. Carolina Navarro ended her career last season, Alejandra Salazar will play her final tournaments in 2026, while Gemma Triay continues to add to her list of achievements at the top of the world rankings.

The Sánchez Alayeto twins, inseparable

To complete her Top 5, Delfi Brea didn't have to think long.

She immediately quoted  Mapi and Majo Sánchez Alayeto , the famous “Gemelas Atómicas”, which she refuses to separate.

"You can't separate Mapi from Majo, neither on the track nor off it."

For Argentina, their speed, aggressiveness and dominance over several seasons profoundly marked the evolution of women's padel.

Current stars complete the Top 10

The latter part of her ranking includes several players who are still active, some of whom continue to write their history.

Delfi Brea y place  Ariana Sánchez, Paula Josemaría, Marta Ortega… as well as herself . A selection that she believes is still likely to evolve over the seasons, as all these players are still in the midst of their quest for major titles.

 Marta Marrero  completes this Top 10. Delfi Brea also specified that she would have gladly placed the former world number 1 higher, but that the imposed format did not leave her more places in her Top 5.

Although it is a subjective exercise, this ranking illustrates the view of one of the best players in the world on those who have shaped the history of women's padel, while leaving the door open to the future developments of stars still active.
