Hard blow to the  Newgiza Premier Padel P2  : the world number 1  Delfina Brea  had to withdraw due to a  injury . With his partner  Gemma Triay  They therefore withdraw from the Egyptian tournament, leaving their place in the table to pair number 9,  Carmen Goenaga and Bea Caldera . A pair  Lucky Loser  will also complete the main table.

 A still mysterious injury 

For now,  The exact nature of Delfi Brea's injury has not been released. . Concern is looming, especially since the Argentinian-Spanish duo is on the lists of the  World Pairs Championship  planned for next week, then  Dubai P1  in the process.
It remains to be seen whether this is a  simple temporary stop  or a more serious concern that could compromise the end of their season.

 An opening for their rivals 

The absence of  world number 1  completely upsets the female picture at  Newgiza P2 .
The big favorites now become  Ari Sánchez and Paula Josemaría , in great shape after their last performance in Milan.
A victory in Egypt would allow them to  getting dangerously close to the Brea / Triay duo in the world rankings , or even to relaunch the race for first place before the end of the season.

Waiting for more news on  Delfi Brea's health status , the Egyptian tournament promises to be more open than ever.
